Women & Infants is the largest obstetrical facility in Rhode Island, the second largest in New England, and the ninth-largest stand-alone obstetrical service in the country.
Dimeo recently completed an 18,000 SF addition to the Birthing Center at Women & Infants Hospital. The new addition includes 20 labor and delivery rooms, a nurse workspace, collaborative workspaces, storage, restrooms, normal and biohazardous trash storage, a staff lounge, staff locker rooms, and office space for managers and directors.
Each year, Women & Infants delivers over 8,000 babies, accounting for over 80 percent of all new births in the state. This new state-of-the-art facility will finally provide staff, doctors, patients, and families with an environment on par with the capabilities and reputation of W&I.
