This 800-space precast parking structure at Salem State University includes four stories of parking and a rooftop deck, creating five total levels. The scope also involved full site development, including landscaping, directional signage, and roadway access improvements to better integrate the garage into the surrounding campus.
The project earned Parksmart Bronze certification, becoming the country’s first newly designed parking garage to achieve this recognition. Sustainable features include five electric vehicle charging stations available at no cost to users, dedicated spaces for rideshare, low-emitting, and alternative fuel vehicles, and the use of building materials with 30 percent recycled, reused, or repurposed content. A professional arborist supported the project by guiding the preservation of mature trees along the site perimeter, reinforcing its broader environmental goals.
