Dimeo Construction Company partnered with Newman Architects in providing preconstruction planning and construction services for the Ridgefield Library. The existing library, built in 1903, has been added onto several times in the 1960’s, 80’s and 90’s. Project scope included demolishing all additions while the historic 1903 building, which faces Main Street, remains in place. Behind it is a modern, 50,000 sf three-story building with greatly expanded space for meetings and programs, reading and study rooms, a technology resources center, a unified space for the adult books collection, and a new children’s room.
