The new school has been certified as a LEED Gold facility. Phase 1 consisted of construction of a two story, academic/athletic building and four story interconnected classroom & academic wings. The building contains a theater, indoor swimming pool, an exhibition gymnasium, fields and athletic support facilities, as well as automotive, carpentry, electrical, graphics/printing, and culinary arts facilities, parking and vehicle circulation, site utilities, landscaping and associated site improvements. Initial mobilization and site preparatory work included selective demolition of the existing sports stadium and playing fields along with site remediation, removal and disposal of contaminated materials and unsuitable soils, grading, site utility, and building pad preparation. Subsequent to phase 1 completion and occupancy of the new school buildings, phase 2 of the project entailed demolition of the existing high school and construction of new parking and playing fields at the current building footprint.

The new school has been certified as a LEED Gold facility.

“Dimeo’s performance during the preconstruction phase was instrumental in putting in place the framework and partnership critical for a highly successful procurement and sourcing effort. This phase concluded with a well-developed guaranteed maximum price and ultimately the very successful execution of the work. The new Newton North High School was a project under intense public scrutiny and Dimeo Construction Company was a valued partner on our team.”
