The courthouse in downtown Boston provides modern accommodations for four specialized courts: the Massachusetts Land Court, Boston Probate and Family Court, Boston Juvenile Court, and Boston Housing Court. The seven-story building includes eighteen courtrooms, transaction offices, judges’ lobbies, and shared support spaces such as libraries, lounges, jury pools, security, and information services.
Additional features include public transaction and waiting areas, the Suffolk Registry of Deeds, a cafeteria, and underground parking for 100 vehicles. The project scope encompassed foundations, concrete basement structure, steel superstructure, exterior stone cladding on CMU backup walls, interior and exterior finishes, fire protection, plumbing, and heating systems.
The facility supports Boston’s commitment to accessible, secure, and efficient judicial services, contributing to the city’s infrastructure and public service needs.
