As Construction Manager, Dimeo oversaw the creation of a campus center in a space that originally housed the school gymnasium and locker facilities. The new building offers a formal exhibit gallery, a theater, dressing rooms, classrooms for drawing, painting, graphic arts and photography, music rooms, shop welding, and woodworking. The centerpiece of the project is a 425-seat theater and choral tower. There is also office space, classrooms, and additional exhibition and performing arts space throughout the building. A unique design challenge for this project was to create a building that balanced the industrial architecture of the square metal facilities at St. George’s and classic older-style brick buildings. The building’s exterior is an intricate combination of sandstone, brick and fishscaled copper.
