Dimeo Construction Company recently completed Yale University’s first residential colleges in over a half century. The 550,000 sf project, designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, consists of two residential colleges (Benjamin Franklin College and Pauli Murray College) with 452 beds each and allows for expanded admission and reduction of crowding in the existing residential colleges, all while increasing enrollment by 15 percent, to approximately 6,000 students.
The LEED-Gold facilities consist of housing, academic, athletic, and student service areas to the campus and feature hundreds of dorm rooms, dozens of classrooms, lab spaces, cafeterias, lounges, and a theatre.
