Dimeo Construction Company has been awarded the AGC Build CT, New Large Construction, award for the Yale University, Benjamin Franklin College and Pauli Murray Colleges, designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects. The 550,000 sf project consists of two residential colleges, with 452 beds each, and allows for expanded admission and reduction of crowding in the existing residential colleges, all while increasing enrollment by 15 percent, to approximately 6,000 students. The LEED-Gold facilities consist of housing, academic, athletic, and student service areas to the campus and feature hundreds of dorm rooms, dozens of classrooms, lab spaces, cafeterias, lounges, and a theater.
