Dimeo Construction Company completes Twin River Expansion and Renovation project

Lincoln, RI - Dimeo completes major expansion and renovation of Twin River for BLB Investors LLC. Twin River renovated and expanded the existing facilities to create a world class entertainment destination while efficiently addressing the programmatic and functional needs of the complex.

Dimeo managed the fast track, major renovation and expansion, designed by Jeter Cook & Jepson Architects; to accommodate additional Video Lottery Terminals (VLT's) bringing the total number of VLT's to 4,752. Scope included an addition for gaming facilities, relocation of the Off Track Betting, and renovations to multiple areas including the back of house, lobby and multi-purpose rooms. This project was a multi-phased expansion of the existing Lincoln Park facility.

Phases I and III included renovations of the entire existing facility, encompassing over 250,000 sf. Phase I consisted of a partial renovation of the second floor, along with the entire grandstand, and Phase III encompassed the renovation of the first and third floors. The expansions consisted of four separate additions, beginning with the "back of house" addition, approximately 48,000 sf and house the new boiler and chiller plant for the entire facility. The other three additions were constructed during Phase II, and consisted of a 150,000 sf gaming addition, a 40,000 sf multipurpose area, and a 10,000 sf lobby and entrance.
