Dimeo Construction Company Awarded the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, New Corporate Office Facility Project

Dimeo is serving as Construction Manager on the Corporate Office Facility for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island designed by Symmes Maini & McKee Associates, (SMMA). This thirteen (13) story office building plus a rooftop mechanical penthouse project consists of 325,000 sf of open landscaped offices and private offices, seven elevators, two stair towers at the core, a cafeteria, and a small fitness center.

The project is designed to be LEED Silver certified. The new building is located on a site identified as Parcel 2C in the City of Providence bordered by Park Row West, Exchange Street and Waterplace Park in the Capital Center Special Development District. The building was constructed on a pad site above an existing three level underground parking garage, which was constructed as part of the adjacent Waterplace residential project being developed by Intercontinental Developers, Inc.
