This Construction Management project consisted of the interior fit-up and base building systems replacement of an existing warehouse building. The building now houses light manufacturing, general office space, testing facilities, and shipping and receiving facilities for the manufacturing and distribution of Teradyne’s testing equipment.
The existing HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems were utilized, however, extensive additional equipment and process piping were constructed to service the new manufacturing/test facilities. The existing shell building was left intact with minimal exterior modifications. Significant coordination was required due to extensive structural steel that was added to the building’s interior to support a 28,000 sf elevated mechanical equipment platform, a 3,600 sf elevated electrical platform and the equipment/ductwork ceiling grillage constructed over the test bay floor.
