The Ruane Center for the Humanities is three levels totaling approximately 63,500 sf. The lower level is partially below ground and comprises approximately 21,500 sf, accommodating mechanical & electrical spaces, a 120-seat lecture hall, seminar rooms and office spaces. The first level consist of approximately 21,500 sf and includes a great room with an outdoor attached patio space, a 150-seat lecture hall, faculty lounge areas, seminar rooms and office space. The second level consists of approximately 20,500 sf and includes two 50/60- seat classrooms along with seminar spaces.

The building was constructed on the College’s main campus between the Phillips Memorial Library and the Albertus Magnus-Sowa-Hickey science complex.

The Ruane Center marks the third major project for Dimeo on the Providence College Campus. Dimeo built the Phillips Memorial Library and most recently, Suites Hall, the College’s newest residence hall.
