Green Buildings
Sustainability in building design and construction is an important and growing trend in the construction of buildings and one Dimeo fully embraces and is excited to be part of. Dimeo is involved with several Green projects including the first LEED certified building in Connecticut and first museum of its kind with the completion of the new Mark Twain Museum Visitor Center in Hartford, CT. Also the new 360,000sf IKEA store in Stoughton Massachusetts has significant sustainable systems features including roof top gardens; Dimeo is also currently underway with several public school projects that will be certified LEED compliant buildings upon their completion. The Dimeo organization continues to make progress towards embracing sustainable design and construction practices including having several employees who are LEED accredited professionals and several others pursuing accreditation.
