Dimeo provided Design/Build and Construction Management services for this multi-phased project. The new residences at Quinnipiac Terrace were designed to help unite the development with the surrounding Fair Haven community by replacing institutional housing with mixed-income, single and multi-family houses, individual parking spaces, yards, and attractive streetlights, greenspace and community centers.
Phase I of this multi-phased project included the demolition of 18 existing buildings and the construction of 81 new wood framed, low income, residential units. The scope of the work included site work, landscaping, concrete form and flatwork, masonry, rough and finish carpentry, finishes and mechanical and electrical work. Phase II was comprised of two separate parcels - the main Quinnipiac Terrace parcel and the Quinnipiac Ridge parcel. The complete scope of work for both parcels consisted of the construction of a total of 79 family dwelling units in a total of 15 wood frame, two and three story structures. The main Quinnipiac Terrace parcel includes 50 units, and the Quinnipiac Ridge parcel includes 29 units. All dwelling units conform to the requirements of the energy star program.
