Located directly on the Fort Point channel, Independence Wharf occupies the actual site of one of the most memorable events in American history - the Boston Tea Party. Built in 1927, this 14-story office building underwent a rebirth to Class A office space with flexible floor plans; a new lobby; restaurants; a 120-car parking garage located on the second floor; and easy access to subway, commuter rail, water shuttle, and bus routes. Acting as Construction Manager, Dimeo's project scope included interior and exterior demolition; asbestos abatement; site work; a new glass curtainwall facade; brick and pre-cast masonry; a new roof; new mechanical, electrical, and fire protection systems; and interior lobby finishes.
