This new University police station provides 911 back up to the city police station. The building consists of 2 levels above grade and one below grade. Additional features include an evidence processing area, a firearms training area, a dispatch communications room, locker rooms, a computer training area, and the Dixwell-Yale University Community Learning Center. Commissioned and developed by Yale University Properties through support from the Rose Foundation, the project has earned the 2006 AIA Connecticut Honor Award in Architecture, 2006 Honor Award from the Boston Society of Architects for Design Excellence, and the 2006 Merit Award from the New England Chapter of the AIA.
